Basil was married three times. Two marriages produced progeny. The first marriage was to Diana Evelyn Stollery in 1956 and resulted in the birth of Michael August 1956, Andrew November 1957 and Caroline, May1960. His marriage to Penney Augusta Shaw was in 1968.
