[2247]

[2247] "Dolly" Horne married both husbands in England, before emigrating to
Canada with Guy Mann. He was "a rotter" (Isobel Slatter), and left her. She was nearly destitute - May Horne (Bowden) sent out huge parcels of clothes for her and the family.

From April Hicks
After Ernest Whiteside passed away she married a family acquaintance named Guy Mann.
After some time after bringing my G-Grandma and children to Canada he disappeared and no one knew what happened for almost 90 years.
I was able to track it down with the help of a family researcher in Australia and she found what happend.
Guy left the family and moved to New York, he enlisted into the army during the 2nd WW.
He had one son, and that son had a son, and both of them passed away. The grandson had a daughter and she was able to meet my Great Aunt Guena before my G-Aunt passed away. Her family has stayed in contact and have spent some time with her.
