Artist and Member of the Royal Academy ( main genre: flowers and Fruit and painted other objects and people also) Many of his paintings were on exhibit at major London Exhibitions. In fact it is believed that he met Marie Celestine when she sat for him as a model for one of his paintings.
Before their marriage at ST Lukes in Finsbury on August 1824, Henry Lewis converted to Catholiocism. He had been born a Protestant, the son of Thomas Keens (1769-1848) and at one point he was described as a Wesleyan Minister.
He had 11 Children.
